Our first night was spent in El Paso, TX. We went to breakfast in the Lobby of our La Quinta and it was HORRIBLE! They had a few [read three pieces] of old fruit, some pre-packaged muffins and some frozen waffles. We passed and traversed the terrain to Farmer’s Branch, TX [somewhere between Fort Worth and Dallas]. Last night in the lobby we noticed a waffle iron. Were things looking up for us? YOU BET YOUR TEXAS DOLLAR!
We went down this morning and discovered the best hotel spread I’ve ever seen! Yogurt, baskets of fruit, cereal, bagels, muffins, and waffles you make fresh!
AND THEY WERE SHAPED LIKE TEXAS!
And y’all, they were good!
Why don't you just go on ahead and enjoy the pictures while we get ourselves on the road! We're EASTBOUND AND DOWN!
[Yes, I go to hotel breakfasts in my pajamas, what?]
Then, voila! Texas shaped waffles!
Throw some butter and syrup on them and mmmmm....
Hubs says we're moving to Texas! It was that good!
We are now in Alabama! We breezed through Louisiana, and Mississippi. I can't wait to share more, but ten hours on the road, this lady is tired and ready to sleep! I miss all of you and can't wait to catch up on everything going on!
Cuddles & Kisses,
The Mrs.

Oh, yes, the Texas shaped waffles. You guys need to find yourself a nice Texan diner and have a breakfast burrito. Yum! That's one of the few things I miss about Texas.
Very cute!
That is so cool that they are Texas Shaped.
