Every Song's Like Gold Teeth, Grey Goose, Trippin' In The Bathroom

Sunday morning we left the house just before 5am to get down to San Diego for the Beer Run! I don't know if you've ever had the awkward pleasure of being in the car at 5am on a Sunday morning, but it's hauntingly peaceful to me. Maybe it's because Fallbrook is the middle of nowhere and the few cars on the road simply become headlights in the foggy darkness? Maybe it's because Sunday morning (early, early, early morning) radio is RIDICULOUS.

There are usually commercials with a song thrown in here and there. I usually listen to Pandora or my iTunes, especially since the phone just syncs in through the speaker system as soon as I turn the car on. I was saving my battery to track my run at the race though, so we decided to flip through the radio dial.

We bounced across the end of a pretty good song, which then led to listening to a song I had never heard before, but instantly fell in love with: "Royals" by Lorde.

Her voice is AMAZING not to mention that the beat is pretty great to sway your hips to, even when your driving- those are the best songs! I also enjoy songs more relatable than making it rain Benjies and popping Crystal in the strip clubs... hahaha!

So I've purchased the entire EP The Love Club for about $4 on iTunes.

Here's some nitty gritty: Ella Yelich-O'Connor (aka: Lorde, pronounced just like Lord) is just 16 and from New Zealand. Her debut album will be "dropping" September 30th! I know I'm going to be on the lookout! Now... I'm off to listen to Royals on repeat, like all day!

What are you listening to?
